One day when Joseph was born, I was assigned to be his guardian angel. Joseph grew as a good boy. His father, Jacob loved him so much that he has given a favourable love. His brothers were jealous of him. His father gave him a coat that his brothers were become more jealous. But as I always whisper to him, he remained humble. Even more humbler when he had a dream and interpreted that his brothers will come and bow down to him.
One day, his brothers went to Dotham where they pastured their flock. Joseph told to follow his brothers. I go where Joseph goes to guide and protect his way. His brothers had a plan for him. As he came near, they took him and threw to the pit. I covered Joseph in order for him not to be hurt in his fall. I saw the devil telling Joseph’s brothers what to do on him. I tried to change their mind but they did not hear my warning. “Don’t worry Joseph; the Lord is there for you. You’ll be fine,” I said to Joseph. Suddenly they took Joseph off the pit and sold him on the Ishmaelite businessmen who just passed on that place. The Ishmaelites gave them ten pieces of silver in exchange for Joseph and bid goodbye. The brothers took Joseph’s coat, killed a goat and dipped the coat on the blood. They went home and told Jacob that Joseph was devoured by a big beast.
When they arrived in Egypt, Joseph and the other slaves were sold. Joseph was bought by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. God was with Joseph and He has a plan for him. In everything that Joseph did prosper and the Lord blessed him. And God’s favor was seen in Joseph’s life. But as I always reminded him, “Stay humble, dear Joseph. Stay your feet on the ground.”
Joseph was trusted by Potiphar and left his household to him. But the devil didn’t stop on tempting Joseph. Potiphar’s wife had lent his eyes on him and told Joseph toile with her on the bed. “No Joseph, you know that your father’s God is not in favor of that. It is the temptation of the devil,” I warned Joseph. He heard me and refused her. Every time that Potiphar’s wife told him to lie with her but Joseph still Joseph refused on her. But she got angry and accused Joseph that he insisted her and forced her to go to bed. In those words, Potiphar believed in his wife and put Joseph into prison. And again I said to Joseph, “Trust in God. All things work together for good. God has a plan.”
Upon staying in Prison, Joseph interpreted the dream of the butler and the baker. And it happened. the butler’s position was restored in the palace and the baker was hanged according to what Joseph said. But the butler forgot what Joseph did and was left in prison
A year passed and the Pharaoh had a great dream the troubled him in his sleep. He called all the magicians and the wise men to interpret his dream but they failed to do so. Then the butler remembered Joseph. He told everything to the Pharaoh about him. And he took Joseph out of the prison. They cleaned him up, dressed well and took to see the Pharaoh. The pharaoh was amazed when Joseph interpreted His dream. He assigned Joseph to manage the seven years of Egypt’s prosperity. He trusted Joseph, gave him a wife and the authority over Egypt.
Seven years had passed so fast. The Egypt stored so much food for the famine. The whole land outside the Egypt suffered in hunger even the people of Jacob. His sons came to buy food in Egypt without knowing that Joseph, their brother, was the governor who managed the food. Joseph recognized them but pretended over them. Innocently, they bow down to see Joseph but he preferred to be rude on them. On the third day he let them go but said, “If you’re honest man, I let you go and bring your the food, but when you come back you shall bring your youngest brother. If you do so, you will not die.” They went home and told everything to Jacob.
After they emptied their sacks and suffered hunger again. Jacob mourned and let Benjamin went to Egypt. When Joseph saw his brother, Benjamin, they let them stayed on his house and prepared a feast for them. Seeing Joseph face to face, he entered his room and cried. After a while, he washed his face and returned to his brothers. After the night, he let his brothers went home with a test and followed them. “Joseph, you know what is right from wrong. Your father, Jacob mourns. Let them free, let your pass left you now,” I came to Joseph saying those words. He wept in his brothers and told them the truth. And he let them go to tell their father that their Joseph was still alive.
“Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good. To bring t about that many people should be keep alive as they are today. So do not fear; I will provide for you and you little ones”
