Posted by wilvah rapha colimbo on August 4, 2012 at 2:00 AM

In the land of flowing honey and milk which is Canaan, Jacob and his 12 sons lived. Second to the last son is Joseph, he is very obedient, caring, and respectful that is why his father loved him the most. As a sign of Jacob’s love to Joseph, he made a coat of many colors, which makes his brothers angry and jealous.

One morning, Joseph was requested by his father to bring foods to his brothers in Shechem, where his brothers feed their drove of sheep. When Joseph arrived in Shechem, one of his brothers said “Oh! Here comes the dreamer”. Before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him, took away his coat, and cast him into one of the pits near them. After that, they tear his coat into pieces and killed one of the sheep and poured out its blood upon the coat so that their father would think that Joseph was slain by a wild beast. Hours after, the Ishmaelite came from Gilead, with their camels bearing Spices, balm, and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. One of them catches the attention of Joseph’s brothers. It is a woman riding in a camel dressed up in opulent way, and her name is Wilvah, one of the princesses of the Arab nation. Because of their amusement, they talked to the merchants and decided to sell Joseph for 20 pieces of silver. The merchants brought Joseph to Egypt. Wilvah, sold Joseph to her friend named Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, the captain of the guard.

Joseph was put down into slavery but then the Lord was with Joseph and still his life goes on. Many problems stroked but he never gives up. As he gets older he bear a statuesque feature, and chiseled face that makes every women fall in love with him especially Potiphar’s wife. She attempted to tempt Joseph to lie with her but Joseph refused it. Potifar’s wife did everything she can so that Joseph would be imprison. Joseph was accused and was imprisoned. It was happen that princess Wilvah knew what happened to Joseph so she talked to Potiphar to set Joseph free again.

Joseph was free; God is really good to his life. He became a governor  and has a power to lead his place. There is a famine that had spread to Canaann. Jacob saw that his people were hungry, so he sent his ten of his sons to Egypt to buy wheat. He kept Benjamin, his youngest son  at home with him. The brothers set off on their long journey from Canan to Egypt. They found their way to the governor, who was their brother Joseph. Once in his presence they knelt humbly before him, their faces pressed to the ground. Joseph knew at once who they were, but they did not recognize him in his fine clothes.

Joseph spoke accusingly to them "You are spies, coming her  to spy on egypt." "No," they protested."We are from Canaan, we come here to buy grain. We were twelve, but the youngest is at home with our father and one of us is dead." "Why should I beleive you?"Joseph demanded. "You must prove you are not spies. You shall return to Canaan to fetch the youngest. Then I will know if you are telling the truth."But first Joseph hAd the brothers thrown into prison for three days.

On the third day they were brought again before Joseph. He said "Take this wheat to your land but, bring your youngest brother here or I shall  have you all put to death. And to make sure you obey me, I shall keep one of you here as a hostage."Then he had the sacks filled of wheat and the silver  they had brought  to pay for it secretly replaced. Lastly he gave them food before sending them on their way.

Once they back at Canaan  they told jacob everything.soon all the grain was gone, and Jacob told his sons that they must go again to Egypt and buy food. "You must take a present  for this all-powerful governor.Take the best our land has to offer-honey, spices, balm, myrrh- and plenty of silver to pay for the wheat."said Jacob.Again the brothers went to Joseph, who invited them to eat at his house. there they were welcomed by his steward and joyfully reunited with their brother who was left when they went back to Canaan. When Joseph entered, they bowed low and laid their presents before him. At the sight of Benjamin, Joseph was so moved that he left the room and wept. On returning, he offered them the best he had in food and wine, and to Venjamin he gave five times more to eat and drink. After dinner Joseph orderedd his men to fill the brothers' sacks with grain and to put back the money they had brought with them.

Joseph felt his heart would break, and could bear it no longer. "I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold as a slave. But now I am Pharaoh's chief adviser and governor of all Egypt . You must come to settle here, for there are five more years of famine to suffer. Bring all you have, your flocks, and your herds, and I will look after you. Tell my father what you have seen." And Joseph threw his arms around Benjamin and wept, and then he kissed all his brothers.

The brothers returned to Canaan, and told Jacob that Joseph was alive. Jacob was full of joy at the news. He agreed at once to go with them to Egypt, and there they made their home.

The story is still the same as the original, there is no twist or something. Your Character appeared only once, she never talk to any of the other character in the story. It would have been better if you marry with Joseph at the end of the story. one smiley for you dear. :)
