Letter to GOD

Posted by wilvah rapha colimbo on July 7, 2013 at 8:25 AM Comments comments (1)

Dear GOD,

I am getting there. Yes, I am getting into someone I dreamt of. You have known me-all about me. Honestly? I just don't know how I had survived from all of life's trials I had in this life. Last year until now, I am grief-stricken. I am emotionally weak and I always wanted to be alone and cry all the time. Thank you so much for indeed, the harder the struggle the sweeter the victory. I learned a lot from those trials, they are life's more lessons. God, I'm already 19 years old, as I am getting into somebody else you wanted me to be-as expected, more responsibilities should be met. More trials on my way that would hinder yet YOU are still there for me, It's your promise and I will hold on to that. Make me a blessing to anybody I'm going to meet. Thank you so much for this life .

Always,

Reflection of sayings of the brook

Sayings of the Brook

The sayings of the brook by Kahlil Gibran is very inspiring poem. It contains a lot of message, every line reflects from the reality. My interpretation about the poem was in order to be a good and successful person you must be beautiful not only in physical appearance but also in heart. We must be responsible and serious because life is not always fun, joy, and laughter we must be ready in every trials or challenges that may come in our life because god has a reason why he gave it to us don’t give up but make it as an inspiration to be a strong person. We must accept every opportunity because it only happen ones in our life. We must be contented and proud of whom we are. Riches can’t make a person happy because it doesn’t mean that they can get what they want they are happy. True happiness can be found through helping other people and the love from  the people around us. Being poor is not a reason to give up but it is a challenge that we must strive hard and pursuit.

Movie Review (Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves) Movie–Arabian Lit

Ali Baba and the forty thieves

Ali Baba and his elder brother Cassim are the sons of a merchant. After the death of their father, the greedy Cassim marries a wealthy woman and becomes well-to-do, building on their father's business—but Ali Baba marries a poor woman and settles into the trade of a woodcutter. One day Ali Baba is at work collecting and cutting firewood in the forest, and he happens to overhear a group of forty thieves visiting their treasure store. The treasure is in a cave, the mouth of which is sealed by magic. It opens on the words "iftah ya simsim" (commonly written as "Open Sesame" in English), and seals itself on the words "Close, Simsim" ("Close Sesame"). When the thieves are gone, Ali Baba enters the cave himself, and takes some of the treasure home. Ali Baba and his wife borrow his sister-in-law's scales to weigh this new wealth of gold coins. Unbeknownst to them, she puts a blob of wax in the scales to find out what Ali Baba is using them for, as she is curious to know what kind of grain her impoverished brother-in-law needs to measure. To her shock, she finds a gold coin sticking to the scales and tells her husband, Ali Baba's rich and greedy brother, Cassim. Under pressure from his brother, Ali Baba is forced to reveal the secret of the cave. Cassim goes to the cave and enters with the magic words, but in his greed and excitement over the treasures, he forgets the magic words to get back out again. The Thieves find him there, and kill him. When his brother does not come back, Ali Baba goes to the cave to look for him, and finds the body, quartered and with each piece displayed just inside the entrance of the cave as a warning to anyone else who might try to enter. Ali Baba brings the body home, where he entrusts Morgiana, a clever slave-girl in Cassim's household, with the task of making others believe that Cassim has died a natural death. First, Morgiana purchases medicines from an apothecary, telling him that Cassim is gravely ill. Then, she finds an old Tailor known as Baba Mustafa whom she pays, blindfolds, and leads to Cassim's house. There, overnight, the Tailor stitches the pieces of Cassim's body back together, so that no one will be suspicious. Ali Baba and his family are able to give Cassim a proper burial without anyone asking awkward questions. The Thieves, finding the body gone, realize that yet another person must know their secret, and set out to track him down. One of the Thieves goes down to the town and comes across Baba Mustafa, who mentions that he has just sewn a dead man's body back together. Realizing that the dead man must have been the Thieves' victim, the Thief asks Baba Mustafa to lead the way to the house where the deed was performed. The Tailor is blindfolded again, and in this state he is able to retrace his steps and find the house. The Thief marks the door with a symbol. The plan is for the other thieves to come back that night and kill everyone in the house. However, the Thief has been seen by Morgiana and she, loyal to her master, foils his plan by marking all the houses in the neighborhood with a similar marking. When the forty Thieves return that night, they cannot identify the correct house and their leader in a furious rage, kills the unsuccessful Thief. The next day, another Thief revisits Baba Mustafa and tries again, only this time, a chunk is chipped out of the stone step at Ali Baba's front door. Again Morgiana foils the plan by making similar chips in all the other doorsteps. The second Thief is killed for his failure as well. At last, the head thief goes and looks for himself. This time, he memorizes every detail he can of the exterior of Ali Baba's house. The Chief of the Thieves pretends to be an oil merchant in need of Ali Baba's hospitality, bringing with him mules loaded with thirty-eight oil jars, one filled with oil, the other thirty-seven hiding the other remaining thieves. Once Ali Baba is asleep, the Thieves plan to kill him. Again, Morgiana discovers and foils the plan, killing the thirty-seven Thieves in their oil jars by pouring boiling oil on them. When their leader comes to rouse his men, he discovers that they are all dead, and escapes. The next morning Morgiana tells Ali Baba about the thieves in the jars, they bury them and Ali Baba shows his gratitude by giving Morgiana her freedom. To exact revenge, after some time the Chief of Thieves establishes himself as a merchant, befriends Ali Baba's son (who is now in charge of the late Cassim's business), and is invited to dinner at Ali Baba's house. However the Thief is recognized by Morgiana, who performs a dance with a dagger for the diners and plunges it into his heart when he is off his guard. Ali Baba is at first angry with Morgiana, but when he finds out the Thief tried to kill him, he is extremely grateful and rewards Morgiana by marrying her to his son. Ali Baba is then left as the only one knowing the secret of the treasure in the cave and how to access it. Thus, the story ends happily for everyone except Cassim and the forty Thieves.

Lola

By: Princess Dionillo

Palace, gold, silver, treasures like these,

Were once and always we wanted,

But how could it be?

If you don’t have any family?

This cruel world gives me fright,

But someone told don’t give up but fight,

You’re not alone she told me once,

I’m always at your back,

Just give me a glance.

Lola I used to call her,

A great lady who gave birth to my loving mother,

That without them I won’t able to exist here,

To the wealth of the world,

There’s nothing I can’t compare.

Having my Lola was a blessing,

For me she’s my everything,

When she took her last goodbye,

Half of my life also died,

When I flash back the memories,

We shared I really missed,

And longed her cared,

That forever and always,

She will linger in my memories.

JOSEPH AND I

‘’Ouch! Who did that!’’ the angered yell heard of Joseph from nowhere. He was nervous that it mightbe hit by the stone he threw to a wolf that scared his flock. He searched the owner of the voice only to find the lady sitting on the ground. She was busy checking the wound in her right knee; her hair was covering her heart shape face. He wanted to kill himself when the girl raised her teary face. ‘’oh you must be an angel such a beautiful angel’’ he whispered. The soft groan of the lady brought back his senses. ‘’I must rude to you, it is my fault I should have let the wolf eat my sheep than throw the stone’’. He explained. The girl was shocked of his appearances, she was afraid of the stranger, she rose from the ground and run as fast as she could but Joseph didn’t let her, he was faster than her. ‘’Look I’m sorry I didn’t meant to hurt you please, let us talk’’ he begged. ‘’Okay I wasn’t hit by the stone nor hurt by you, I was stumbled because someone might tie the rope, I didn’t saw it’’ she said but then turned away. ‘’Wait! May I know your name young lady? He asked. ‘’My name is Guizel what yours? Asked her’’. Well, my name is Joseph why don’t we sit and talk for a while don’t worry I am not a bad guy,I will do no harm I promise’’ said he. Then they sited on the big stone. ‘’by the way are you the eldest?’’ Guizel asked. He smiled before he said ‘’I am the youngest sons of my father Jacob, I have eleven siblings’’ he said. ‘’You know I am willing to listen in your story why don’t you share it to me anyway, we are not a stranger anymore from each other’’ she encouraged him. ‘’You know I always dreaming, if it’s not too much to say I am good in interpreting dreams, I always dreamed which always happened. I told this to my father and to my brethren. I loved telling them what is in me but’’ he said while sadness was shown in his eyes. ‘’what was that sadness for? You are blessed I can see’’ she said with sympathy. He took a deep sigh then added, ‘’my brethren seems unhappy being with me around, just this day I was sent by my father to go to them in sachem but they weren’t here, they always change their venue whenever they heard I will come’’ he said. ‘’you know I always dreaming of having siblings, many siblings to be played of that would be interesting right?’’ asked she. He smiled to her and said, ‘’it is, indeed it is especially if you love them, I wanted to spend more time with you but I’m afraid I can’t, I have to look for them’’. ‘’it’s okay, you go ahead I’ll be fine here’’ she said softly. ‘’hope I could see you again, you put some herbal on your knee okay?’’ then he rose, he was taking his two steps when he stop and faced her ‘’ahm… one more thing please be careful next time’’ and left a bone melting smile. She walked with a smile in her lips. Joseph went to the place where the old man told him but when he reached there he was victim by his brother’s plan. They sold Joseph to Potiphar and brought him in Egypt. They tore the robe of Joseph and gave it to Jacob, they made him believed that ‘’we just found it on the road’’ one of the brothers said to Jacob. He laments the loss of his beloved son. One day, when Joseph was passing down the hall, he was invited by his master’s wife to sleep with him but he refused for he respected his master and he knew it was the right thing to do. The wife of his master was hurt and he accused him of mocking her. She in prisoned him. Joseph was loved by his God and he made him prosperous. One day, a knocked on the door awakened Joseph, he opened it only to shock by the view in his front, and it was Guizel holding the tray with her both hands. Guizel was mesmerized too. ‘’you?’’ they said in chorus. ‘’what are you doing here? Where is Sebashti?’’ asked he. ‘’nice to meet you again he is my father in case you didn’t know, he is working here as one of the assistants of the king’’ said she. ‘’ahhm but where is he? I mean why it’s you who bring this? You’re not a maiden here I know’’ he asked again. ‘’I always helping my father if I am finish working in our house hold chores’’ she answered. ‘’ okay so that’s explains, it is really a surprise to see you here too bad you see my situation, I don’t want you to see me miserable’’ he said. The lady was smiling sweetly enough to make him wonder what was on her smile that he felt comfort. She said to him ‘’ I was told about your case, I know you are a good man Joseph’’ he loved the way Guizel said his name it was soft in her lips no it was more on a caress. ‘’because if you are not the son of God you wouldn’t be the first who stay here because of the queen’’ she added. He chuckled and said ‘’I presume that was a complement’’ then laughed he was amused by the frankness of this lovely lady, his eyes were smiling too as he reached the tray she was holding. ‘’thank you for this you are a good daughter blessed is the man who would marry you, I suggest you to go back your father must looking for you’’ he said with a smile on his lips. ‘’and please mind the rope if ever’’ she was laughing as she remembered their first meeting. It was music in his ears. He was just finished his meal when one of the guards entered. He was called by the king, Pharaoh had a dream and only Joseph can interpret. The dream of the king told that that there would be famine symbolized by seven thin cattle and prosperity symbolized by seven fat cattle. The day that the dream of Pharaoh came true his family went to Egypt to buy food but Joseph was good at heart he didn’t sell the food instead he gave it to them then gathered them in Egypt. His brethren asking for forgiveness he forgave them. The biggest day of Joseph’s life came it was his wedding with Guizel as they kneeled together and exchanged I do’s the crowd cheering, everybody was happy. They were blessed with two sons they named them Massaleh and Ephraim. Guizel was rocking their youngest son when she noticed him standing, with his back on the door his eyes were staring with love she smiled to him, he was handsome as the first time she met him, forever she would cherished him. He sit beside her and said ‘’I am lucky to have you my dear wife I love you’’ ‘’I guess, it is me lucky that I have you, forever will I love you husband ’’ she whispered for their son might be awaken.

Joseph being seventeen years old,was feeding the flock with his brother in his father side together with his son of Balhah and Zilpah,Jacob wives.Joseph knows the evil plan of his brother so that he reported to jacob.Israel loved joseph more than all his children becouse he was the son of his old age.Jacob made long dress for joseph and when his brother notice that joseph is much more loved with there father they hated him,and they not treat joseph nice. When Joseph dreamed a dream, they felt disgusted, when joseph tell them of what dreamed is all about. And Joseph dream again and he tell him to his father but Jacob got angry with him, because of unfortunate messages of his dream. His brother fekt insecure with him. One day Jacob when his brothers go to Shechem to feed the flock of his father Jacold told Joseph to go with his brother,'Yes" Joseph replied. Israel told also to Joseph to sight them if they are in a good condition then you go back to me to bring the word .He sent him out on the hillside of Hebron. he came to Shechem,When Joseph still in the road he found a man then he asked Joseph"What you are finding"?man said,Joseph replied "im searching for my brothers where they i found"?man replied they are already left away and i hear that they go to Dothan. Then Joseph followed what the man said, and he find his brother. They saw Joseph in far from they. They unite to kill Joseph, they said to each other the"Dreamer Cometh"let us kill him and put him to the pit.And we diguise that he killed one of the ferocious animal in forest. And Ruben heard it all,he want to save Joseph then he said"let not take his life",Let Joseph put on the pit. While they are eating they saw a group of Israelites from midiates.Juda said to his brother"we dont have get to Joseph if we kill him.Because he is still our brother and they brought Joseph into the Israelites to sell our brother and they brought Joseph into the Israelites to sell him,Joseph cost for only two pieces of silver.Israelites bring joseph to Egypt.Ruben back to the pit but Joseph is gone! The Bretheren of Joseph killed an Hegoat and dipped the coat of Joseph into the blood.Afterwards they brought the coat of Joseph his father and Said:'these have we found "and Jacob knew that the coat is own by his son joseph "these is my son coat!he killed by a ferocious animal in the forest!Jacob tear his dress and he change a dress that suited for the burial of his beloved son.Jacob felt crumple all days of his life but Joseph felt brought down to Egypt and israelites sell Joseph to Potiphar, one of the captain of pharaoh , In many years of Joseph staying at the home of potiphar .Yahweh has already feelings with Joseph she want joseph to get in bed.But the conscience of Joseph appeared in the appearance of "edward'.Edward said:my dear Joseph dont do that remember all the kindness of your lord for you.If you do that your god well be angry and disgusted with you would you like it to happen Joseph? joseph answered your almost right my conscience if i do that my lord well be angry with me thank you for remembering. After all the conscience of Joseph gone in the form of smoke and joseph refuse Yahweh to lie on bed.But yahweh did not contented she force joseph to lie on bed then all the slave of potiphar heard it.and the news easily and quickly heard by potophar then potiphar put Joseph into the prison to paid his sin.In the prison joseph meet the butler and the baker of the pharaoh. At night the baker and the butler are together had a dream. In the morning butler talk Joseph then Joesph interpret a dream of butler and the baker convince to say his dream into Joseph but they found him that they rae interpretation. The butler has a positive dream while the baker has a negative and he hanged by the pharaoh on the tree. After two years ago, the Pharaoh was dreamed a dream that he stand up into the nile river, after that the fat cows arose and thin cows followed. The Pharaoh shocked that the thin cow ate the fa cow but their body structure didn't change. After the Pharaoh dream he called all the wise men and the magicians in his land but no one can interpret it. The butler suggest to the Pharaoh that Joseph is good and interpreting a dream After Joseph interpret the dream, the Pharaoh amazed, he make Joseph as one of the ruler of his land. Then the Pharaoh give a new name to Joseph and it is "Zaphenath-Paneah" and he give him a wife Asenath the daughter of Potiphira the priest of Ur. When Joseph was already 30 he started to rule the whole empire of Egypt. He go to different places of Egypt. Before the famine came, Joseph got a son to Asenath, Manase was first born which means for he said" to forget all the toil I have in the home of my father, and the second one is Epharuim which means that God made me a fruitful man. The year of plenty is done in the land of Egypt then the 7 years of famine followed like Joseph said but then the whole Egypt had a full support of food but then in the other country they suffered famine, when Jacob heard that the Egypt have enough food they told his sons " What are you waiting for" Go to Egypt buy some food so that we can live not to die. The ten brothers of Joseph go to Egypt to buy a food. Only Benjamin the true brother of Joseph is left to Jacob's side, He frighten that their's something to happen with him. When the brothers of Joseph came, Joseph easily know his brothers " Where did you came from?" Joseph asked "We came from Canaan we are here to buy some food. Joseph remember his dream then he says you are a spy, you are here to find our weakness right? But the conscience of Joseph appeared and said My dear Joseph your brother are telling the truth hear your heart beat if your heart beat fast they have a plan for you but if your heart beat is calm you don't have to worry, then Joseph followed his conscience say. On the third day, Joseph said for I have a fear for God I'm giving you a chance to prove that you are telling the truth. One of you are put into prison and some of you can go back to your own land but don't forget to come back here together with your youngest brother Benjamin. After the conversation with Joseph to his brother, the conscience of Joseph appeared in the mirror " Joseph as your conscience I was felt bad and weak because of what you do to yourself, your hidden your true identity, I know that your brother have have hate you before in God perfect time whatever you ask for will come true. It may not be in exact package you wanted, but it will be what God think is best for you my dear Joseph. Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you speak well to those who curse you. And he did not control his feelings therefore all his slaves leave him and his brother shocked why all his slave leave him Reuben asked. Then Joseph tell him the truth, Joseph tell his brother the truth that he is a son of Jacob after all Jacob went to Egypt bring all he had then they came to Egypt. Joseph hugged his father tight and face his conscience that appear in the back of his father. "Thank you." Joseph said. Then the conscience replied with a simple nod.

‘’wake up children, pack your things now and we will head to Canaan’’ the voice of Jacob early in the morning. ‘’but why father? We have everything here, you see father this is our home’’ against Benjamin, the youngest son of Jacob. ‘’no more buts son, our flock has nothing to eat, drought strikes our land, no more grass for them to eat.’’ Answered Jacob. ’Oh! I don’t want to lose my sheep!’’ intervened Joseph. . Joseph was the youngest Israel’s twelve sons. He was the son of Bilhah and with the son of Zilpah his father wives.

On that day, they dwelt on the land of his father, savoring the land of Canaan. Joseph was seventeen years old that time he was feeding the flock with his brethren. In the beautiful place rounded by a green grass, tall trees towering the field, the humming birds happily danced in tune, one of those birds named hazel.

Every time Joseph fed his sheep he noticed that there was an unusual bird and it was different among the other birds, it has green color mixed with yellow and this bird always followed him everywhere he goes. When he stopped walking, the birds also stopped flying, and flock on the branch of a tree in order to hide herself. One day, Joseph and his brethren was journed to feed their sheep. Joseph didn’t know that his brethren had an evil plan to him. While he was walking I flock on his shoulder he suddenly stopped and looked at me shock was on his face. He can’t believe that I am talking to him. I said to him “hi” and asked him if we can be friends, Joseph blinked his eyes he was wondering if it was just a dream, ‘’hey! Don’t worry I’m a friend’’ I explained. On that day joseph and I were friends.

In the next day Joseph and I started bonding, we went to the river, Joseph swam in the enticing water and I, followed him until, were both tired and rest in the coconut trees beside the river. We also visit the virgin forest in the land of Canaan I was amazed, when I saw the beautiful views inside the forest, we roam around the whole forest and it so nice to be with Joseph. The next morning, I was excited to see Joseph again and make bonding with him, I saw him and his brethren I came nearer to them, when I am near to them I stop because I saw something wrong happening between them. I saw when His brother’s stripped the coat of Joseph and they took and cast him into the pit. I heard one of his brothers have planned to sell joseph in the medianites. I got angry on joseph brothers. ”Oh my god, joseph you must know this before so that their plan on you will not succeed, what a bad brothers all of you, why are you doing this to my friend’’. Hazel stayed calm and just listened to their plan. One of his brothers’ said again ’’come and let us sell him to the medianites and let nour our hand is upon him’’. I saw Joseph in the pit, my heart was torn. I wanted to cast him off. . Joseph wondered why his brethren striped the coat. They brought the robe of Joseph into Jacob made him believed that his beloved son was killed. Jacob was mourning nobody could comfort him. The pit was empty and there was no water on it. They brought Joseph to Egypt; there he met the wife of his master. She fined him handsome that led her to ask him to lie with her. Joseph refused the offer because he was thinking the word of his master. The ego of his master’s wife as hurt and she accused him of mocking her. They sent Joseph inside the prison. He was sleeping when I reached the prison, I sang a lullaby and it awakened him, he was smiling at the sight of me. He got me and talked to me as if I was human. ‘’I am thankful my friend that came, you see I have no one to talk to.’’ said he. ‘’just call me and I’ll be here if you need a friend, I will go for now but I promise to be backed before the sun is going to set’’. I said to her. Every day I went to him so that he had something to talk to. He stayed there in a long years. One night the king had a dream that no one could interpret, the battler then remembered that Joseph had the ability to interpret ones dream. Potiphar cast him and Joseph was very happy that time. He told that there will be seven years of poverty symbolized by the seven cattle and the seven fat cattle symbolized prosperity. . ‘’my friend I have something to tell you, I am free from now on, but’’. ‘’wow! I am happy for you Joseph but what was that but for?’’. ‘’it is not make me complete maybe I need my family beside me’’ answered he. ‘’tell me my friend anything I will do if it pleases you’’. ‘’thank you my dear’’ said he. The next day he gave me a letter. ‘’bring this to them’’ he begged. I went to Canaan with all my will to bring the letter of him. I know this would help them unite again. The dream of the king happened. I went backed with sadness in my heart. I fell the letter in the river when I dropped by to drink. I forgot that I have something in my beak. ‘’forgive me my friend’’ I asked. ‘’oh my dear I understand it is not your intention to dropped the letter, I will just pray that my Lord will lead them in here’’. He said in the softness of his voice. ‘’may I know what was the letter for?’’ I asked. ‘’I wrote them to go here ‘cause I know famine strikes in Canaan’’. He added. Good thing that the family of Joseph went to buy food, Joseph didn’t sell them instead he gathered them and gave them food. Joseph being thirty years old was stood next to the king he met the girl whom he married and they were blessed with two kids. They were Ephraim and Manasseh. They lived in Egypt together, the brothers of Joseph asked forgiveness and Joseph was good at heart that he forgave his brethren. Jacob, finally very happy to be with his son again, his beloved son Joseph the son of God.

JOSEPH AND I

The Warmth breeze of the wind joyfully touched the leaves of trees to dance in rhythm, the mountain that covered with fresh green grass inviting the sheep to harvest them; the clean blue icy water surrounds the mountain. The bird’s lullaby harmonized in perfect tune. This was the scene I saw in this lovely place of Canaan. I loved the way wind played my pretty wings. ‘’what are you doing here?’’ asked a small voice. ‘’oh! My poor dear why I’ve been here every day yet you don’t know why am I here?’’ a sweet smile formed in my sexy lips when I saw a cute butterfly behind me. ‘’ you too have wings huh? What is your name then?’’ added the butterfly.’’ I am Freya Veda, my name means cold life’’ I replied. ‘’what’s on your hand?’’ the butterfly asked. ‘’it’s my magic wand’’ answered mine. ‘’do you know who they are?’’ asked the butterfly. I looked down and fondness was shown in my expressive eyes staring at the boy who stood among his brethren.’’ He is joseph, one of the youngest among Jacob’s twelve sons.’’ I am his fairy’’ but when I looked back it was gone. I sighed and went to joseph; my boy must be tired of caring those hundred sheep I twist my wand with expertise and the cool wind refreshed him. My heart leaped because of those smiles he never failed to make me feel proud. Joseph being seventeen was feeding the flock in this lovely place with his brethren pastoring their own sheep. I watched him every time of every day. I was glad his father loved him. Jacob who had Zilpah and Bilhah as wives. Joseph was good at interpreting dreams it was one of his gift from God besides, he was a dreamer. One night Joseph dreamed a dream he told this to his father next to his brothers over breakfast. ‘’behold we were binding sheaves in the field and lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright, and behold, your sheaves came round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf’’ said he. They hated more for his dream and for his words. They couldn’t speak peaceably to him and it made me sad.

One day joseph went to feed his flock, I watched him sitting on the rock with a stick on his right hand and a stone on the left. I could see how tender his black and deep set eyes staring to those fat sheep. I wished he could see me but impossible! I wasn’t given a magic to appear ones vision. I was sleeping when the heaven showered that magic. He can’t see me but he could feel my existence. I took a deep sigh and gently spread my wings to play with the wind which I always did each time we were in this lovely place of Canaan. Another day had come and his brethren went to feed Jacob’s flock in sachem. Jacob sent Joseph out from the valley of Hebron on our way to his brethren; he noticed that one of the lambs was lost. I could see panic in his eyes I flew toward the thick grass there I saw a little lamb struggled to come out. I used my wand to clean the area then the little lamb was running toward the flock. ‘’there you are! I thought I lost you’’ said Joseph with relief. I smiled when I saw him carrying the little lamb. Joseph was singing through his heart when we saw the place but when we came closer His brethren weren’t there. Tiredness was written in his handsome face. I thought an idea to create a man who would tell him where they were, and in just a blink of an eye there was a man came wandering what he was seeking. ‘’I pray thee, where they are feeding the flock?’’ asked he. ‘’ They were departed hence, for I heard them say let us go to Dotham ‘’ replied the man and Joseph and I went there. I was leading joseph and my heart was hurting upon hearing what they said ‘’here the dreamer cometh ‘’. I took a lot of control not to turn them into frog. They hated joseph for aversion was written in their face because of his existence. No wonder why joseph loved by his father more than Jacob did to his other sons. Jacob even made a robe with different beautiful colors that his brethren envied him more. I heard his brethren planned to slay him, to cast him into the pit and Reuben said unto his brothers not to hurt Joseph. ‘’ahuh!’’ I thought an idea! I went to the said pit and dried the water inside. I saw hard and big stones under ‘’this must be hurt for my boy’’ I thought so I turned stone into soil. I counted a thousand times not to hurt them when I saw them stripped Joseph’s robe then cast him in the pit. ‘’don’t worry dear I will make you another one’’ I whispered and did. They gave his robe to Jacob, made him believed that joseph was dead. They tried to comfort their father but Jacob refused. He wanted to mourn his son’s grave.

My heart was crying when I saw them selling Joseph to Potiphar an officer of pharaoh’s the captain of the guard. If only I could revenge for joseph but I can’t, I am not a bad fairy. I raised my wand twist it and an unseen shade followed Joseph to protect him from the burning sun. We journeyed until the sun was about to set. We were almost there when the donkey that was ridden by Potiphar stopped galloping. There was a snake vertically lying, the cobra was very angry and there was a fire in his hunger eyes. I made a stone and Joseph noticed it, he picked the stone then hit the head of the snake with bravery, it was dead. We are heading toward Egypt I was not worried because my Lord was with him. God made him a prosperous man. Joseph and I stayed in Egypt for long years. There was a wicked queen who adored Joseph, his master’s wife. One night the queen asked to him to lie with her. One of the commands of heaven to me was to deliver him from temptation. I made a dark spot then placed it to her face each time they met, I curled her straight hair, I wrinkled her fair skin but to Joseph’s eyes only, this would make her invulnerable in his sight and it worked, he refused but his master’s wife was persistent to have him. She asked him every day ‘’come to my bed’’ but Joseph was still. One of the reasons why he didn’t agreed was he considered what might his master would think about him. The pride of the queen was hurt. ‘’you’ll goanna pay for this beggar! Nobody dare to refuse me!’’ said the wicked queen. She accused him of mocking her. I was with him inside the prison. My heart was torn upon seeing how miserable the prison was no bed to comfort him, no light to brighten the darkened corner. Every night when he was asleep I made him an invisible bed made of cotton for his comfortable sleep, I made him a thick blanket to cover him from cold, and I even fight with the mosquitoes at night. One evening Pharaoh had a dream no one could interpret, the battler remembered what Joseph was said before they cast him in prison that he was an interpreter. He told Pharaoh about him and the latter ordered to free him to interpret his dream. Pharaoh’s dream told that, there will be famine symbolized by seven reedy cattle and after seven years of poverty seven years of prosperity symbolized by seven healthy cattle.

I was very happy for the luck of Joseph being thirty years old stood next to the king. One day Joseph and I went to the river to take a bath suddenly we heard a beautiful voice singing like a nymph. Joseph stopped and listened for a while, the owner of the voice rose we had the chance to see her face. ‘’oh!’’ I heard him grasped. I was smiling ‘cause it was the first time that there was someone who caught his attention because of those gray eyes, the girl who owned pretty smiles in her perfect curved lips, and the girl who walked gracefully in her sexy body that swayed her straight and black as night hair. The lady noticed him and she immediately covered her body in the water. She was taking her bath too. ‘’go away! You invader!’’ shouted her. ‘’wait lady, I am Joseph, I am not a bad guy’’ explained him. That was the start of their love story. I could see how happy Joseph was on the day of their wedding upon seeing his breathtakingly beautiful bride in her off shoulder white gown. I made it with lovely flowers. The happiness of the couple was steadfast as they were blessed with two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. These two bouncing baby boy reminded me of their father when Joseph was still a baby. One thing I was waiting to happen, the reunion of his family and I will be gone the thought of leaving them was killing me, I wished I could extend my sojourn but my time was coming I flew to the land of Canaan I had to searched his family it was my last mission to accomplish good thing I saw them heading toward Egypt. The interpretation of Joseph about Pharaoh’s dream happened but Egypt was blessed to have bounty stocks of food. Jacob’s family came to buy food, and they were amazed to see Joseph leading the people of Egypt, his brethren asked for forgiveness and they were forgiven. Joseph was good at heart he didn’t sold the food to his family instead he gathered them there and give abundance to them. Jacob was happy to have his son back again, his beloved son. I should have felt wonderful for joseph’s family but part of my heart felt sadness. I chose thirty years of agreement I never thought that it would hurt like this to leave someone who became a part of my life; I loved him, his family that it hurts me to leave. I flew from the window teary eyes, wounded heart and lonely without him. One glance to him before I take off ‘’you were the best thing that ever been mine, farewell my friend’’ tears on my cheeks as I whisper ‘’good bye.’’

JOSEPH and I

One day when Joseph was born, I was assigned to be his guardian angel. Joseph grew as a good boy. His father, Jacob loved him so much that he has given a favorable love. His brothers were jealous of him. His father gave him a coat that his brothers were become more jealous. But as I always whisper to him, he remained humble. Even more humbler when he had a dream and interpreted that his brothers will come and bow down to him. I took him to a place in a dream. “ Where are we?” Joseph asked me. “It is your future, Joseph. God told me to take you here.” I informed him. “ Look Joseph, Your brothers bow down at you,” I added. Every night, I took Joseph to different places where he will rule the dominion over his brethren and the land of his father.

One day, his brothers went to Dotham where they pastured their flock. Joseph told to follow his brothers. I go where Joseph goes to guide and protect his way. “Joseph, is there anything that bothers you?” I asked him. “I don’t know. But I can’t find any reason why my brothers hate me,” he answered me with a sad face. I put my feet on the ground and let myself transform into little sheep. Joseph carried me and suddenly we were heading into a different place again. We were up into the clouds and watching over his brothers. They were planning over Joseph for him to get lost in their sight. “We have to go back to your father’s place and tell everything to him about your brother’s bad plan,” I warned him. “No, I have to face them. You said it is my destiny to be a ruler over them and I believe whatever they do to me it is still my destiny,” Joseph said. Then we continued to meet his brothers.

As he came near, they took him and threw to the pit. I covered Joseph in order for him not to be hurt in his fall. I saw the devil telling Joseph’s brothers what to do on him. “Stop it, you devil!!” I shouted. The devil smiled at me looking to Joseph’s brothers agreeing to the plan. I tried to change their mind but they did not hear my warning. “No! Please! God is not favor of what you’ll going to do!” I warned them but they chose to follow the devil. “Don’t worry Joseph; the Lord is there for you. You’ll be fine,” I said to Joseph. Suddenly they took Joseph off the pit and sold him on the Ishmaelite businessmen who just passed on that place. The Ishmaelites gave them ten pieces of silver in exchange for Joseph and bid goodbye. The brothers took Joseph’s coat, killed a goat and dipped the coat on the blood. They went home and told Jacob that Joseph was devoured by a big beast.

When they arrived in Egypt, Joseph and the other slaves were sold. Joseph was bought by Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. God was with Joseph and He has a plan for him. In everything that Joseph did prosper and the Lord blessed him. And God’s favor was seen in Joseph’s life. But as I always reminded him, “Stay humble, dear Joseph. Stay your feet on the ground.” God called me to go back to the heaven and we talked for a while. “always in watch for Joseph, I have a greater plans for him,” God said to me. “I will, my God. Let Your will be done.” Then Ieft and go back to Joseph.

Joseph was trusted by Potiphar and left his household to him. But the devil didn’t stop on tempting Joseph. Potiphar’s wife had lent his eyes on him and told Joseph toiled with her on the bed. “No Joseph, you know that your father’s God is not in favor of that. It is the temptation of the devil,” I warned Joseph. He heard me and refused her. Every time that Potiphar’s wife told him to lie with her but Joseph still Joseph refused on her. But she got angry and accused Joseph that he insisted her and forced her to go to bed. In those words, Potiphar believed in his wife and put Joseph into prison. And again I said to Joseph, “Trust in God. All things work together for good. God has a plan.”

Upon staying in Prison, Joseph interpreted the dream of the butler and the baker. And it happened. The butler’s position was restored in the palace and the baker was hanged according to what Joseph said. But the butler forgot what Joseph did and was left in prison. In a dream, I took Joseph again in the place where I used to bring him. “This is Egypt?” he asked. “Yes Joseph. The Pharaoh will have a dream. There will be seven years of prosperity over Egypt and after it a seven years of famine. And it is you who will go to manage it all.” Joseph was so amazed, bowed down to pray and thank God. “If it is God’s will, I will do it.”

A year passed and the Pharaoh had a great dream the troubled him in his sleep. He called all the magicians and the wise men to interpret his dream but they failed to do so. I came to the butler and whispered to him, “Remember Joseph?” Then the butler remembered Joseph. But the devil came and said, “It was all tricks butler, it is not because of Joseph, it is because of you.” Then the butler changed his mind. “Remember Joseph on the day you are in trouble.” The devil continued to trick the butler and I contradicted over him. Then the butler decided to say everything to the Pharaoh. He told everything to the Pharaoh about him. And he took Joseph out of the prison. They cleaned him up, dressed well and took to see the Pharaoh. The pharaoh was amazed when Joseph interpreted His dream. He assigned Joseph to manage the seven years of Egypt’s prosperity. He trusted Joseph, gave him a wife and the authority over Egypt.

Seven years had passed so fast. The Egypt stored so much food for the famine. The whole land outside the Egypt suffered in hunger even the people of Jacob. His sons came to buy food in Egypt without knowing that Joseph, their brother, was the governor who managed the food. Joseph recognized them but pretended over them. Innocently, they bow down to see Joseph but he preferred to be rude on them. “Joseph, do you think you’ll be happy if do it to your brothers? If they did something wrong to you, do you think it is a good revenge?” I asked Joseph to realize that he did a wrong decision. On the third day he let them go but said, “If you’re honest man, I let you go and bring your the food, but when you come back you shall bring your youngest brother. If you do so, you will not die.” They went home and told everything to Jacob.

After they emptied their sacks and suffered hunger again. Jacob mourned and let Benjamin went to Egypt. When Joseph saw his brother, Benjamin, they let them stayed on his house and prepared a feast for them. Seeing Joseph face to face, he entered his room and cried.” It is time Joseph. Your father, Jacob mourned too many years because of what your brothers did. If you tell everything to them, your father will be happy,” I said to Joseph. After a while, he washed his face and returned to his brothers. After the night, he let his brothers went home with a test and followed them. “Joseph, you know what is right from wrong. Your father, Jacob mourns. Let them free, let your pass left you now,” I came to Joseph saying those words again. He wept in his brothers and told them the truth. And he let them go to tell their father that their Joseph was still alive.

                                                                :);):D:);):D

“Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good. To bring t about that many people should be keep alive as they are today. So do not fear; I will provide for you and you little ones”

JOSEPH  AND I

“Come close to me, do not be angry  with your selves for selling me because God sent me here to save his people.”

Iam Rishelle an Ishmaelite woman, I had sold by my relatives because they want to get our land. I had nothing to do because if I’m not going to agree with them they will kill my brother   Here I am felt so lonely and helpless if my parents are still leaving for sure. I  will not be experience this kind of life -being a maid servant in the household of Potiphar. One day I met a new friendnamed Joseph. A Hebrew young man we had the same story he had been put to pit and sold by his brothers because they hated him and now he is also a servan there. However he is a simple man,  having warm personality, dedicated in his work that is why our master gain more riches and he was a man who fear  God. He taught me how to pray and trust God, he was always there if I’m in my unwanted attitude, he always listen and understand me. Until we became best friend, he told me everything about his life, his families and his dreams. I really admired him, suddenly  I didn’t expect to treat him more than my best friend, I felt something different but I choose to hide this feelings. One morning I am in the garden I heard a voice asking help I immediately ran in the house and I had seen my master holding a scarf ofJoseph she told me that Joseph had a bad intention to her. When Potiphar heardthis, he got so angry and put Joseph to prison for the sin he didn’t committed.I stand as his witness but we didn’t succeeded. Every now and then I visited him to the prison. Despite of his condition my love for him nothing changed, and I prefer again to hide it. He told me that theirs a cupbearer and a baker of Pharaoh being put to jail, they had a dreamed and he interpreted it. He asked the cupbearer to mentioned him to the king.

One night I receive a news that Joseph was in Pharaoh to interprets his dreamed. I pray to God that he would going to help Joseph. Early in the morning I’m in the gate of the palace to heard some development about Joseph. I was so happy that Joseph in charge in the palace and the people submit to him but still Pharaoh is much more greater than he. He’s given a wife named Asenath. When I heard about it I felt that darkness conquered my entire life I went back home full of loneliness and tears. Everyday Joseph sends me a letter but I ignore it.

Famine came I had nothing to do but to go to buy food to Joseph when I saw him everything changed the way he dressed and spoke but I felt that he is still my best friend, but he didn’t recognized me because I put a cloth on my face.

When I finished paying I immediately went back home but I was still  becauseof the group of men next to me. Joseph accused them that they are the spies and he put them to prison but after three days they allow them to be free and back totheir homeland. I was so shocked one afternoon that Joseph visited me, I don’tknow what I am going to do. He told me everything about his brothers and the condition he had given them, he is crying in front of me because he really missed his father Jacob and Benjamin his younger brother. Meanwhile, in the land of Canaan Jacob decided to sent his sons to Egypt because the famine was still severe. They took Benjamin with them.

When Joseph saw them he immediately command his steward to prepare a dinner for them. There they eat and drink. When he saw Benjamin he cannot controlled himself so he find place to wept.Early in the next morning his brothers sent on their way home but  Joseph planned to put his silver cup in Benjamin’s sock, while they were gone in the city Joseph commanded his attendants to catch them. To make the long story short he cannot controlled anymore himself and he told everything about who he is, he asked favor to Pharaoh to bring all his family to Egypt. His brother asked forgiveness and he accept it, he command them to bring their father and all their families to Egypt because the famine has not yet gone. Early in the morning Joseph’s wife died,he mourn all the more together with his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim, father Jacob and all his brother. After a year I decided to back in my hometown and forget everything about Joseph. I was so surprised that someone puts his hands in my eyes… that was Joseph. He told me that he loved me more than a friend. When he was in Potiphar’s house but he was afraid to tell me about his feelings. He offered me a wedding. I was speechless that time but because I still loved him I agreed to him. All my tears, failures and aches gone away…that was our lovestory..

The story of Joseph occurs near the end of the genesis, and it tells how the Israelites came to be in Egypt. Abraham coming out of the Mesopotamia from the ancient city of Ur of the chaldees (2000 B.C) brought his family into Palestine named after the philistines. He became a sheik, leading his flocks and heads up and down between the highlands. He quarreled with his brother Esau, and after years of wandering and service he became the head of a numerous family, and retained the family tradition of worship of Jehovah. Joseph was one of the youngest of Israel's twelve sons we are neighborhood and I am one of his friends. One day Joseph told me that he dreamed that he and his brother's were binding sheaves in the field and his sheaf arose and also stood upright and behold, and the sheaves of his brother's came around about and made his obeisance to his sheaf and he told it also to his brother's that make them angry and hated him. And he dreamed again that the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to him and he told it to his father and to his brother's and his father rebuked him, and said to him that what is this dream that you have dreamed? Ourselves to thee the earth? And his brother envied him but his father kept the saying in mind. When his brother's went to feed their flocks in shechem Joseph go there to find them but he didn't found his brother's. And the man said to him that his brother's are in Dotham so he goes there to find them. When he is afar off his brother's saw him. and when I was walking along the street I heard them talking and they planned to slay Joseph to cast him into the pits, and say an evil beast had devoured him, but one of his brother Rueben said that they shall not slay Joseph but cast him into the pit that is wilderness, but lay no hand upon him, i was tryng to warn joseph about the plan of his brother's but it's too late and when Joseph came I saw them that they stripped Joseph coat and they took him and cast him into the pit and the pit was empty there's no water in it so Judah suggested that instead sell Joseph to the Israelites so they lifted him and sell to Ishmaelite for twenty pieces of silver and they brought Joseph into Egypt. And Rueben took Joseph's coat and killed a hegoat and dipped the coat in the blood and they rent the coat of many colors and they brought it to their father. And Jacob their father mourned in many days. I followed Joseph to the Egypt and Pothipar, an officer of Pharaoh's the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hand of Ishmaelite which had brought him down thither. And I worked thier also as a servant of Pharaoh. But Joseph put into the prison because he is being accused the he mocked the wife of his master but one day Joseph was called by Pharaoh because no one can interpret his dream and only Joseph can interpret it to him. And pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen and put a gold chain about his neck and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had and they cried before him. Bowed the knee, and he set him over all the land of Egypt. And pharaoh call Joseph's name Zaphenat-paneah, and he gave him the wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-phera priest. And Joseph have two sons and I witness when Asenath gave birth to them. The name of her first son was "Manaseh" and the second called "Ephraim" and the day of the famine came, all countries came into Egypt to Joseph to buy corn, and Jacob said to his sons to buy some food in order for them to live but one of his son refused to go because he knew that Joseph was the governor of the land. But his other brother"s goes to Joseph but they never knew it was Joseph. And the last part of the story was his brother told his father that Joseph is alive and he is all over the land of Egypt and Jacob rose up from beer-Sheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives in the wagons which pharaoh had sent to carry him. And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him, his sons, and his sons with him.

Joseph and I

When Joseph was  seventeen years old, he had a childhood friend named Dyna. They grew together with the brothers of Joseph. He was a nice person in his friend so they were together since in their younger life. They  used to play in the field where they feed their animals. As they grew his friend noticed that Joseph’s brothers don’t like him as their younger brother until now that they're grown up, they still hate Joseph.

When the time he discovered that he can interpret his dreams he told that on his friend Dyna whom he considered his best friend. When his friend knew that he had ability like that his friend was amazed by him. But when his brothers kne wthat he can interpret dreams, they hated Joseph more.

When his brothers went to feed their father’s flock, they made a plan to slay their younger brother. And they made it, they dumped Joseph in one of those pit. But when they saw a travelling company of Ishmaelite they decided that they will instead sell Joseph. They drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit and sold him to the Ishmaelite. In that time Dyna was there sh ewas feeding their animals not far from the pit where they dumped Joseph. She witness on what they have done on her friend.

WhenJoseph’s brother already went back to their home,  they noticed that Dyna saw what they have done. They  threaten Dyna so that she won’t tell what she saw. Joseph’s friend chose to be quiet  because she was afraid to be sold and be away from their home.

Joseph was brought down to Egypt. Potiphar bought him down thither. The master of Egyptian made Joseph an overseer over the master’s house. And it came to pass after this things that the wife of the master wants Joseph to lie by her butJ oseph refused. When she thinks that she won’t get Joseph he told her husband that Joseph came to mocked her.

When his master heard it he immediately ,he putJoseph in prison. In the prison, he became the keeper of the prison. He met there the chief butler and the chief baker who offended their lord, the king of Egypt. They dreamed, and each of their dreams was interpreted by Joseph.

And it came to pass, at the end of the two full years that Pharaoh dreamed and he needs some one to interpret his dreams. He called for all the wise men and magicians but none of them can interpret his dreams. Pharaoh speaks with his chief butler and he told him about Joseph. Then he was there to interpret what Pharaoh’s dream. When they have a solution on Pharaoh’s dream the  Pharaoh gave Joseph a chance to rule over Egypt and he called Joseph’s name Zaphenath- paneah and he give him to wife Asenath.

When famine years come  all the countries came into Egypt in Joseph to buy food because the famine sore in all the earth. Jacob sent his son to buy food from Egypt. And Dyna’s father told her and her older brother to go  also in Egypt to buy food for them to have food in famine years. When Joseph saw Dyna, his childhood, friend he immediately recognized his friend. They talked for awhile and when he goes home he give much food that would be enough in the years of famine.

Jacob sent again his son to buy for them a little food. When they were already in Egypt, Joseph told his servants to prepare for dinner. They eat together with  Joseph. When morning comes, the men were able to come back to their home,Joseph gave them food that as much as they could carry. Joseph commanded his servant that he must put the silver cup in the sack mouth of the youngest. When they’re gone out of the city, Joseph said to his servant to follow after them.

Joseph’s servant overtake them to check each of their sacks, he searched and began a tthe eldest and left at the youngest and the cup was in Benjamin’s sack, their youngest brother. So they went to Joseph’s house and want to clear themselves but Joseph refused, and he wanted to bond Benjamin in prison. But  his brother’s won’t leave without their younger brother. And after their conversation, Joseph introduced himself to them and they could not answer back on him, for they were troubled at his presence. But Joseph told them that he didn’t got angry on what they had done on the past, instead he kissed all his brother’s and wept upon them after they talke. And Joseph wanted to get their father, so his brother’s went down to Egypt in the land of Canaan into Jacob. They told their father that Joseph was alive and they told him, that he wanted to see Joseph before he dies.

In the land of flowing honey and milk which is Canaan, Jacob and his 12 sons lived. Second to the last son is Joseph, he is very obedient, caring, and respectful that is why his father loved him the most. As a sign of Jacob’s love to Joseph, he made a coat of many colors, which makes his brothers angry and jealous.

One morning, Joseph was requested by his father to bring foods to his brothers in Shechem, where his brothers feed their drove of sheep. When Joseph arrived in Shechem, one of his brothers said “Oh! Here comes the dreamer”. Before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him, took away his coat, and cast him into one of the pits near them. After that, they tear his coat into pieces and killed one of the sheep and poured out its blood upon the coat so that their father would think that Joseph was slain by a wild beast. Hours after, the Ishmaelite came from Gilead, with their camels bearing Spices, balm, and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. One of them catches the attention of Joseph’s brothers. It is a woman riding in a camel dressed up in opulent way, and her name is Wilvah, one of the princesses of the Arab nation. Because of their amusement, they talked to the merchants and decided to sell Joseph for 20 pieces of silver. The merchants brought Joseph to Egypt. Wilvah, sold Joseph to her friend named Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, the captain of the guard.

Joseph was put down into slavery but then the Lord was with Joseph and still his life goes on. Many problems stroked but he never gives up. As he gets older he bear a statuesque feature, and chiseled face that makes every women fall in love with him especially Potiphar’s wife. She attempted to tempt Joseph to lie with her but Joseph refused it. Potifar’s wife did everything she can so that Joseph would be imprison. Joseph was accused and was imprisoned. It was happen that princess Wilvah knew what happened to Joseph so she talked to Potiphar to set Joseph free again.

Joseph was free; God is really good to his life. He became a governor  and has a power to lead his place. There is a famine that had spread to Canaann. Jacob saw that his people were hungry, so he sent his ten of his sons to Egypt to buy wheat. He kept Benjamin, his youngest son  at home with him. The brothers set off on their long journey from Canan to Egypt. They found their way to the governor, who was their brother Joseph. Once in his presence they knelt humbly before him, their faces pressed to the ground. Joseph knew at once who they were, but they did not recognize him in his fine clothes.

Joseph spoke accusingly to them "You are spies, coming her  to spy on egypt." "No," they protested."We are from Canaan, we come here to buy grain. We were twelve, but the youngest is at home with our father and one of us is dead." "Why should I beleive you?"Joseph demanded. "You must prove you are not spies. You shall return to Canaan to fetch the youngest. Then I will know if you are telling the truth."But first Joseph hAd the brothers thrown into prison for three days.

On the third day they were brought again before Joseph. He said "Take this wheat to your land but, bring your youngest brother here or I shall  have you all put to death. And to make sure you obey me, I shall keep one of you here as a hostage."Then he had the sacks filled of wheat and the silver  they had brought  to pay for it secretly replaced. Lastly he gave them food before sending them on their way.

Once they back at Canaan  they told jacob everything.soon all the grain was gone, and Jacob told his sons that they must go again to Egypt and buy food. "You must take a present  for this all-powerful governor.Take the best our land has to offer-honey, spices, balm, myrrh- and plenty of silver to pay for the wheat."said Jacob.Again the brothers went to Joseph, who invited them to eat at his house. there they were welcomed by his steward and joyfully reunited with their brother who was left when they went back to Canaan. When Joseph entered, they bowed low and laid their presents before him. At the sight of Benjamin, Joseph was so moved that he left the room and wept. On returning, he offered them the best he had in food and wine, and to Venjamin he gave five times more to eat and drink. After dinner Joseph orderedd his men to fill the brothers' sacks with grain and to put back the money they had brought with them.

Joseph felt his heart would break, and could bear it no longer. "I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold as a slave. But now I am Pharaoh's chief adviser and governor of all Egypt . You must come to settle here, for there are five more years of famine to suffer. Bring all you have, your flocks, and your herds, and I will look after you. Tell my father what you have seen." And Joseph threw his arms around Benjamin and wept, and then he kissed all his brothers.

The brothers returned to Canaan, and told Jacob that Joseph was alive. Jacob was full of joy at the news. He agreed at once to go with them to Egypt, and there they made their home.

Rachel, who was Jacob's true love , was distraught taht she could not give a children. She prayed, pleading with God to bless her with a child. After Leah had also given birth to a daughter named Dinah,God answered Rachel's prayers. She become pregnant and gave birth to her first son, Joseph. Much later, she in also gave birth to Joseph's full brother, whom Jacob also loved a great deal. But all was not well. As Joseph grew older. he did not noticed that Jacob greatly favored young Joseph. Joseph has a confident, Godly young man and did'nt hesitate to tell his brethren of a dreame that seemed and flaunt his supreme destiny. In his dream revealed that someday his brethrens would bow to him. "hey, dont let joseph over powered you" whisphered satania. After they heard what i whispher, Joseph brethren  hated him more.

Joseph's brethren went to fed their father's flock  in Shechem. Jacob told Joseph "see if all is well and with the flocks and bring word back to me" So he sent him out to valley of Hebron, and he came to Shechem. He found a wondering man and ask him "what are you looking for?" and Joseph answered "Im looking for my brethren, can you tell me where they are feeding their flocks?' and the man said  "They moved from here, for I heard them said,"Lets go to Dotham". and Joseph went after his brethren and found in Dotham. "Joseph is here!, this is your chance and to take revenge, slay him!' joseph brethren agreed for what i had said. Joseph brethren saw him in a distance going to their direction and they plan to slay him. When Reuben heheared it, he he tired to rescue Joseph "hurry, stripped his coat and cast him into the pit" I said . As Joseph came to his brethren, they strepped his coat of many color and cast him into the pit." Now just set down and eat some bread for you had done good, lets celebrate" i said. As they sat  and eat bread, they lifted up their eyes and looked up and they saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. " Judah," I whisphered. " Just sell Joseph so that he can't be able to go back here. Judah smiled and said to his brethren of what Satania. " Let's sell him to the Ishmaelites for he is no use.' And his brethren agreed. They sold JOseph for twenty pieces of silver. When Rueben returned unto the pit he saw that Joseph is not there, and he rent his clothes. He went back to his brethren. They took Joseph's coat, and killed a  hegoat, and deep the coat in the blood. And they brougth it to their father.

Meanwhile, the Midianites sold him unto Potiphar, an officer of the Pharaoh. The captain of the guard, and Joseph brougth down to Egypt. And the Llord was in Joseph, and he prospered and he was in the house of his master. " Joseph is princely, had a hunk body and a magnificent sex appeal." I whispered to the wife of Joseph'smaster. Afterwhile his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph and said, " Come  to bed with me". But he refused. One day, he went into the house to do his work and none of the servant was inside. She caught him by his garment, and said, "Come to bed with me". But he left his garment in her hand and go out in the house. When she saw that he had left his garment in her hand she called unto the men of her house. When his master heard the words of his wife, she spake unto him. and Joseph's master took him, and put him in the prison. And it came to pass after these things, that the cup bearer and baker offered their master. And the Pharaoh was worht agaist the two officers. "Just put them in prison, it would be better", i whispered and the Pharaoh sent them to jail.

One night, they had a dream and Joseph helped them to interpret their dreams. Joseph told the cup bearer to remember him and and to show him kindness and to mention him to the Pharaoh to get him out of the jail. On the third day, the Pharaoh restored the cheif cip bearer to his position and he hanged the cheif baker that Joseph had interpreted to them. Yet the chief butler, didn't remember Joseph. And it came to pass at the end of the two full years that Pharaoh deamt and his spirit was troubled; so he sent and called for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. But noone can interpret his dream. The chief cup bearer told him about Joseph. And the pharaoh sent and called Joseph. The Pharaoh told everything about his dream to Joseph and Joseph interpreted them. Then the pharaoh said,  God had shewed you and there is no man saw discret and wise as you. You shall over my house, and according to my words shalll all my people be ruled. Only in the throne will be greater than you. The Pharaoh gave him a wife named Asenath, a Daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On, and they had two sons, Manaseh and Ephraim.

On the seven years of prosperity in Egypt came to an end and the seven years of famine begun to start and spread in all land. Now Jacob saw that there was a food in Egypt, and he sent his sons to go and buy food. Joseph was the governor over the land and he's the one who sold food to the intire people. Joseph's brethren bow down to him wwith their faces to the ground. Joseph saw his brethren and recognized them but he pretented to be a stranger. And spoke harsly with them. " Are you spies?", Joseph asked. ' No, my lord. we came to buy food", they explained. But Joseph sent them to prison. On the third day joseph said, " Ddo this and you will live for I fear God. If Your honest one, let one of you brother be boubd in prison house and you can go and take the food and bring your youngest brother to me; shall shall your words will be cleared, and you will not die.

And they came unto jacob, their father into the land of Canaan, and told him everything. And came to pass as they emptied their sacks. and the famine was soarin their land. Their father told into them, " Go again, buy us a little food." Judah promised to take Benjamin. They wend down to Egypt and stood before Joseph. Joseph saw Benjamin with them and he said to his servant, "bring the men into the house". When Joseph came haome they presented him the gifts that they brought. He saw his younggest brotther benjamin. " Is this your youngest brother?". Joseph made haste for his bowels  did years upon his brethens and he entered to his chamber to wept and washed his face before going out. So they drank freely with him. In the dawn, the men were sent away and their asses. Joseph said untohis men to catch them. They took every sack and search and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack and they returned to the city. Joseph could not refrain from himself before all of them that stood by them and  he told everything to his brethren. And he ordered them to get all their families in the land of Canaan and bring in the land of Egypt. They told Jacob about Joseph and his heart fainted with joy to know his beloved son was alive.

JOSEPH AND I

“LOVE COVERS THE MULTITUDE OF SIN”

Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land of Canaan. He had twelve sons and one of them is Joseph.

Joseph a young man of seventeen was tending the flocks with his brothers. Jacob loved Joseph more than any of his other sons because he had born to him in his old age and he made a richly commented robe for him. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. When he told to his father, he rebuked him.

Now his brothers had gone to grazing their father’s flocks near Shechem. Jacob told Joseph to see if all is well and with the flocks and bring word back to me. Then he sent him off from the valley of Hebron. When he arrived at Shechem a man found him wandering around in the field and asked him “what are you looking for? He replied I’m looking for my brothers. Can you tell me where they are grazing their flocks? They have moved on from here, the man answered “I heard them say “let’s go to Dothan”. Joseph went and found them near Dothan, they saw him in distance and they plotted to kill him.

When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. So, when Joseph came to his brothers they stripped him of his robe and took him and throw him into the empty cistern. As they sat down to eat their meal, they looked up and saw a caravan of Ishmaelite coming from Gilead.

Judah said to his brothers “let’s sell him to the Ishmaelite” his brothers agreed. They sold him for twenty shekels of silver.

When Reuben returned to the cistern he saw Joseph was not there, he tole his clothes. He went back to his brother. They got Joseph’s robe, slaughtered a goat and dipped the robe in the blood. They took it to their father Jacob and told him that Joseph surely been turn to pieces.

Meanwhile, the medianites sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar one of pharaohs officials the captain of the guard.

The lord was with Joseph and he prospered, lived in the house of his Egyptian master. Joseph met Set one of Potiphar’s servant and they became close friends.

Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. And after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said “come to bed with me” but he refused her.

One day he went into the house to attend to his duties and none of the household servants was inside. She caught him by his cloak and said “come to bed with me” but he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had ran out of the house she called her household servants and told everything to them. Joseph was in prison, the Lord was with him he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. Set doesn’t believe that Joseph can do that thing. Every day he visits Joseph in the jail.

Some time later come, the cupbearer and the baker of the king offended their master. Pharaohs were angry and they send them to jail. One night they had a dream and each dream had a meaning of its own. Joseph helped them to interpret their dreams. Joseph told the cupbearer remember me and show me kindness mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. On the third day Pharaoh restored the chief cupbearer to his position and he hang the chief baker. The cupbearer however, did not remember Joseph.

When two full years had passed Pharaoh had a dream. In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told his dreams but no one could interpret them to him. Then the cupbearer told Pharaoh about Joseph, so he sent for Joseph. Then the Pharaoh told everything to Joseph about his dream. After a while, Joseph interprets it. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, since God has made all this known to you, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be in charge of my palace and all my people are to submit to your orders but I will be greater than you. When Set heard about this he came immediately to Joseph and congratules him. Pharaoh gave him a wife named Asenath and they had two sons named Manasseh and Ephraim. The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end and the seven years of famine began until it spread in the entire world. When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sends his sons to go and buy. Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the one who sold grain to entire people. So when Jacob’s brother arrived they bowed down to him with their faces to the ground. Joseph saw his brothers and recognized them but he pretended to be a stranger and spoke harshly to them. “You Are spies” No my Lord they answered and they explained to Joseph, but Joseph sends them to prison on the third day he said to them “do this and you will lived, for I fear God if you are honest men, let one of your brothers stay here while the rest go and take the grain back but you must bring your youngest brother to me”.

When they arrived they told everything to Jacob. Now the famine was still severe in the land. Their father said “go back and buy us a little more food” Judah promised to take Benjamin and be responsible for him. So they took gifts and double amount of silver. They hurried down to Egypt and presented themselves to Joseph. When Joseph saw Benjamin with them he said to his steward to take these men in his house and prepare dinner for them.

When Joseph came home, they presented to him the gifts they had brought into the house and they bowed down before him to the ground. He saw his brother Benjamin “is this your youngest brother the one you told me about?” Joseph deeply moved at the sight of his brother and he looked for a place to weep. He washed his face and controlled himself. So they feasted and drank freely with him. Early in the morning they sent on their way home. They had not gone from the city when Joseph commanded his steward to catch them. The steward found a silver cup in the sack of Benjamin they returned back to the city.

Joseph could no longer control himself he told everything about himself to his brothers and he commanded them to get their father and all their families in the Canaan and bring them all to Egypt. When Jacob heard this he felt so happy and they started their journey going to Egypt.

GOD BLESS!
